The Eucharistic Miracle at O'Cebreiro

On the right is a Pietà; on the left, what our local guide said was the eucharistic miracle of Cebreiro. The miracle image follows the traditional "Mass of St. Gregory" iconography quite closely, down to picturing the bystander as a monk. (In the Cebreiro miracle he was a local farmer, according to the account published online by the Real Presence Eucharistic Association.)
The various instruments of the Passion are distributed between the two sides of the altarpiece: the scarlet cloak and the scourges on the left; the hammer, spear, ladder, and tongs on the right; with a cross on each side. In the center, the column with the rope literally and figuratively parallels the eucharistic chalice.
